in south india we can’t see these type of celebrations. we will have very simple marriages and No dancing and here dancing in the marriage is not allowed and retricted and if any body dance the person will be considered as bad manners person.

But now slowly the north culture is adopted in south, but people in south are not so reach to adopt the north culture. The people in south are working class.

@ above – I don’t know which part of South India you are talking about. Rather, I’d ask you not to generalize it for the entire Southern part of India… Cos marriages are grandly celebrated in many places in South India too… May not be similar…

While I choose to remain http://happilysingle.net I am happy to share these photos with friends who ask about what weddings in Pakistan, especially Lahore, entail. This Punjabi wedding is a good example (though not sure I’ve seen a doolha have mehdni on his face as seen here).
