About the Photographer :

Born in a small city of Northern India, Poras Chaudhary is a freelance photojournalist and a documentary photographer. Ever since he was a child, Poras has been intrigued by the visual moments, but his passion for photography began in 2005 when he started looking for a good camera and came across the work of Magnum photograhers. Poras is a completely self-taught photographer. He is best know for his color work and unique compositions.

Having started photography in only mid-2005, He won a number of awards including the Digital Camera Magazine’s ‘Photographer of the Year’ award in 2006, National Geographic Traveler’s photo contest Merit Award winner in 2008 as well as being a Runner Up in ‘Epson Color Imaging Contest 2008’.

Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Reggie Bush show off their sexy bods in their first joint photo shoot for the April 2009 issue of GQ magazine. “Here is my first-ever photo shoot with Reggie and I! It’s in next month’s GQ magazine, which is on stands now,” the socialite blogs.

In one of the sexy photos, Reggie is seen pushing up with Kim on his back. Another picture shows the 28-year-old hottie wrapping her arms around her beau’s shirtless body. “We were super excited for this shoot but also a bit nervous,” she writes on her official blog.

“We had never done a shoot together and didn’t know what to expect!” Kim goes on. “It turned out super hot and we love it. The article also gives a glimpse into our relationship.”

Covering a festival is a huge task and who better to photograph the colors of Holi than “The Big Picture” from Boston.com. Last Wednesday (March 11th), people in India and other countries with large Hindu populations celebrated Holi, the Festival of Colors. Holi is celebrated as a welcoming of Spring, and a celebration of the triumph of good over evil. What that translates to in action is an enthusiastic dropping of inhibitions, as people chase each other and playfully splash colorful paint, powder and water on each other. People also attend bonfires to commemorate the story of Prahlada, a Hindu figure and devout follower of Lord Vishnu who prevailed over his father and the demoness Holika with the power of his devotion. Today’s entry is a collection shared by photographer Peter Carr, from an event in Liverpool, England last year. Said Peter: “As part of Liverpool’s Capital of Culture year, the French group La Machine were commissioned to create a large piece of street theatre, on the scale of their earlier work, the Sultan’s Elephant. Many were expecting to see something using the iconic Liverbirds, the symbol of the city but instead we got a spider. The total cost of the event was £1.8 million and caused some complaints about how the funds could better be used. It also attracted protests from arachnophobe groups about how it would terrify some people. Despite these complaints the event drew in over 200,000 people in the few days it was on and produced something wondrous that got everyone in the region talking.” All photos and captions courtesy Peter Carr, who has agreed to answer questions in the comments below. David Bergman made this panoramic image showing the nearly two million people who watched President Obama’s inaugural address by using a Gigapan Imager, a robotic camera mount. The Gigapan allows a person to take multiple images and stitch them together resulting in a massive image file.

The final photo is made up of 220 Canon G10 images and the file is 59,783 X 24,658 pixels or 1,474 megapixels. You can read more about it by following the source link below.
